    There is a company in Calgary called Sedmek. They can supply and install the panels for electricity and water heating. You can find them at http://www.sedmek.com
    They have some answers on their site.
    There is also a company http://www.solarpanel.ca. Shane is the proprieter and holds monthly off grid seminars which are very informative. He is from Wabamun Alberta and the trip is well worth it.

    contact your utility company for best answers and they probably have a payment program as well…they will install and not rip you off…
